Protection



I miss carrying her with me all the time, in utero. Keeping her safe with me at all times. I can still nourish her with my body by breastfeeding. And one day, she won’t need me for nutrition anymore, and I’ll have to use my body to protect her in other ways. My body created her, grew her, nourished her, and will do its best to protect her. But damn it was so much easier protecting her when she was in my tummy, safe, and warm.
