My Morning Routine & A Giveaway: Artful Blogging Magazine (Giveaway Closed)

I once interviewed for a job at a hair salon and one of the interview questions was, "Are you a morning lark, or a night owl?" It was there way of finding out if you were a morning person or a night person.

To answer that question, I am a morning lark. Not a night owl. I really appreciate mornings, when the rest of the world is still quiet. Here is my morning routine.

6:15 am - alarm goes off.
6:30 am - check my phone for a few minutes until my eyes adjust.
6:45 am - walk mort around the block.
7:00 am - feed mort. make coffee. brush teeth.
7:15 am - enjoy coffee and magazines and books and youtube until i have to get ready.
7:45 am - do makeup and hair.
8:00 am - get dressed.
8:15 am - head out the door.

It's always important to me to be able to slowly drink my coffee, and enjoy a few moments in the morning all to myself. I love when I first walk outside, the air is a bit cool from the night's cold blanket, and the streets are quiet. It isn't until after 7am that the traffic and road noise picks up, echoing between the buildings. In those quiet moments, before I'm exposed to the day's external influences, I find that I am the most creative.
