The more into event planning that I am immersed, the more I realize that I adore every aspect of it. Growing up, I used to want to be an interior decorator, but there was something about it that was just missing that never made me go after it. I knew I needed something to encourage my creative side, but also something that I could use my organization and delegation attributes. And when I heard that my school offers an event management four year degree, at it's own campus, I knew it was just the place for me. I already adore entertaining, setting up my own events, I can multitask well because of my experience in the hair salons, I am inherently organized, and I enjoy delegating tasks for a seamless event. I can see the big picture and what needs to be done, but I can also get down to the centerpieces and perfect them until they are just right. These are two centerpieces for a corporate event we did recently. The colors were orange and blue, the colors of a state sports team (which I don't follow, but it makes for good inspiration). I adore the single gerbera daisy head floating in a short square vase atop marbles. And even the whimsical bunches of mixed flora in a basic vase make for a fun and casual environment that doesn't scream corporate.
Salut, Yelle
