I find any excuse to go out on the porch on a dark evening, with a breeze through the curtains and my year round lights twinkling. Even if for only a minute before the heat is unbearable, I take my glass of wine and maybe a magazine, maybe a book, and sit in the peacefulness of nighttime in a quite neighborhood. I can hear the humming of the air conditioners and nothing else. All is quiet in our little brick complex.
We open the sliding glass door and through the screen we can play a record and listen to our favorites. We have friends visit, bringing with them their own private collection of their own vinyl. We flip the records often, we top off the beer or the wine. What follows is always good conversation. We are never interrupted with the quietness of our evenings.
Salut, Yelle
