Christmas Markets: Cleveland, GA

Cleveland, GA

A short stop for us along the way was Cleveland, on the way back to our cabin for the night. This little town hosted a Christmas market and parade in the same evening, so it was worth checking out. We walked through the small market, listened to the children's choir sing Christmas songs, and grabbed some dinner to-go from a food truck. We even made sure to get chicken tenders and fries for our 4 year old, but she was not interested. This is the same kid who says she wants food from home when we occasionally stop at a drive through for fast food.

During the parade, I could tell she needed food since she only ate a fry or two, and the closest, quickest option was a coffee shop. A tiny, corner spot that were still serving bagels, even at 8 o'clock at night. Bless them. We grabbed a quick bagel and cream cheese for our daughter, and went back to catch the last bit of the parade.

As the parade was coming to a close, the parade vehicles were getting more and more elaborate with more and more twinkling lights. S boosted our oldest daughter up on his shoulders so that she could get a good view. Our little, half-Jewish girl ate her cream cheese and bagel at a Christmas parade, while a vehicle sprayed fake snow and it slowly fell down around us. True holiday magic. The last vehicle of the night brought Santa through little Cleveland, GA.
