On The Road Again...

Today I am on my way to New Orleans! Give me a day or two and I will have tons of photos of champagne, the French Quarter, Cajun cuisine, and CHAMPAGNE. I've made lists of restaurants that I want to try - some for dinner and some for lunch. I even have a list of things to do during the day like museums, plantations, breweries, and perhaps even getting mehndi done in Jackson Square. I think it's so beautiful when brides get henna designs on their hands for their weddings. Instead of doing it for my wedding, I think doing it for my bachelorette party will be the next best thing!

Earlier this week we tasted four different kinds of champagne in my wine class. Three were truly French and from Champagne, one was a sparkling wine from northern California. There was one champagne that was so unique; it smelled and tasted like blue cheese or roquefort. Moldy smelling wines aside, it totally got me in the mood to celebrate with champagne this whole week. On my drink menu will also be hurricanes, Pimm's Cup, and maybe even some absinthe. For food I am definitely going to be indulging in some gumbo, oysters, po'boys, and beignets. So much to look forward to!
Adieu, Yelle
