Yearly Event Fundraiser @ the Museum

Recently at the museum, our event department helped out with the building's yearly fundraising event. Something that most people don't realize is that there are typically two different departments in a large building that do events. One department handles external events (rentals, weddings, corporate meetings) and the other handles internal events (fundraisers, VIP events, exhibit openings). Our team works on the external events, so we typically handle 2-3 events per week, that's over 100 events per year. The internal events department has about 4 or 5 large events that they plan, raise funds, and gain sponsorships for per year. And yes, on top of our 100+ events per year, we still help out with the internal events. We're just that amazing. 

The beauty about our staff is that we are all getting an education from a hospitality college, with a major in Event Management. This, coupled with my amazing coworkers, the other event coordinators and our interns, we really do a phenomenal job in events. 

These are just a few snap shops of this most recent fundraising event that we assisted with. Being a museum, we really try to show off our exhibits. Our dinosaur skeletons were lit from below, our interactive exhibits had bars and food dispersed through out the space, and our guests dressed to theme: neanderthal. 

It really is so nice to see event attendees in our building, supporting our local museum community, and enjoying themselves with great food and wine. We are really lucky to work with such a great staff, as well as in such a unique venue. I'm proud of every single event that we put on.
